Our Aims & Objectives:

  • Bedroom of The BeechesTo provide privacy and to encourage autonomy, individuality, choice and responsible risk taking. The overriding factor will be that as residents are not able or do not wish to live independently, it will be our aim to place maximum emphasis on allowing residents as far as possible to manage their own lives in order to maintain their dignity, independence, esteem and life style.
  • To provide a homely and non-institutional atmosphere suited to the residents living in it by providing a spacious and well appointed residence. To this end there are en-suite facilities in all bedrooms with ample communal rooms leading to attractive and spacious gardens of 1 acre.
  • Whilst accepting the limitations of living in a residential environment it will be our aim to provide a non-regimented day as far as possible and to encourage links outside the home, such as outside visits, entertainment, shopping etc.
  • Residential Care at The BeechesWe will recognise the talents and sensitivities of residents according respect in all relationships in particular respecting privacy and space.
  • Opportunities are provided for inclusion of the individuals personal possessions.
  • We aim to maintain as far as possible past habits of individual residents such as food preferences etc. 
  • We will encourage residents to pursue interests and acquire new ones.
  • We aim to maintain residents' dignity by according them the status as valuable members of a group.
  • We will encourage residents to retain personal possessions.
  • Family & friends are encouraged to discuss concerns about their care.
  • Opportunities are provided for ongoing training and support for professional and personal development of staff.
  • Individuals are encouraged to discuss concerns about their care.
  • Visitors will be welcome at all reasonable times.
  • Staff will be provided with appropriate training. We are committed to staff development and are proactive in offering all staff NVQ training opportunities which teach the fundamental principles of care against specific performance criteria. Regular in-house training programmes are continuous for all designations in order to meet recognised criteria for quality standards of care.
  • Staff will be encouraged to gain knowledge of residents life history and vice versa in order to make residents feel at ease in their new family community.
